All,
I have been a T-Mobile customer for many years, for the past 2 years I have used TmobileWeb (TZones) to sync mail with my exchange server. the service also on a dash did allow for internet access. Recently (Tuesday, June 6, 2007) this service no longer allowed me to use ActiveSync to sync my mail. Further we pay 19.99/month for full unlimited text messaging which also allows for Instant Messaging. Well since the service change to Tzones my IM also does not work.

Nothing was posted on their website concerning this service change, nothing was communicated by either email, voicemail, phone calls, or US Postal mail regarding the service change. I have been through four phone calls now and have been disconnected once, hung up on once and basically told that I have to shell out 19.99$ for the full internet in order for these service to continue to work. I find this COMPLETELY unacceptable and am rallying for support from any other T-Mobile customers who have experienced the same issues and feel as I do.

Their service levels are totally inadequate and their lack of communication and willingness to satisfy their customer is non-existent. If you feel as I do and are interested in pursuing the possibilities of lawyering up against T-Mobile please add to this thread. Based on the level of agreement and support I see here I will post an email address to begin gathering information and perhaps together we can work together to make this right.

Well, I like your argument but it will probably not hold up well in court.

You see, when you sign up with T-Mobile, you sign a contract. This contract and many others most likely have the statement "These rules and regulations are subject to change without notice". I have a strong feeling that was in your service contract. Therefore T-Mobile does not have to forewarn you of any service changes or changes to your contract.

Even though it is very sleezy, they expect you to keep up with their terms of use.

Sorry to shoot you down if I did in any way.

you have your information scrambled, t-zones (5.99) is only good for My e-mail and basic WAP web browsing. I'm sure Theirs more to this then your claim, because no the service did not change 2 months ago, now the 9.99 t-zones may have been the one you were using, but so few people use it that many of the reps don't know anything about it. but if you want full internet abilities you have to have one of the 19.99+ packages.

I'm with you. I ran various java apps from my phone with just tzones until they shut it down. I came from sprint to t-mo because of flat rate wap service and told them that. Now they tell me after the fact that I wasn't supposed to be able to do that. I told them I wanted app access to the wap when I signed up and they said tzones was all I needed. I was flat out lied to. T-mo in europe offers unlimited wap and everyone there runs apps like mini opera or google maps or the gmail java client. No need for full internet. It's just a series 40 nokia. T-mo already has a download limit on wap. I'm contacting the fcc and my congressman.

the wap service is not made for smart phones if you have a smart phone pay for the service don't buy some 200 to 500 phone then bitch because it cost more to own than a basic one i drive a 90000 bmw and you know what oil gas insurance and everything else costs more than my old ford truck but so what it is what i wanted. tmo gives a better price on service for data than anyone so the prevented ppl like you from using free service i bet you bitched when your neighbor secured their wifi and you lost free service through them too cheap ass

@bcagle3, i said series 40 not series 60. I don't have a smart phone. I have a java phone. I also have a family of 4 to support and cannot afford a pc or internet service. I talked up t-mo to everyone because they were giving me a way to use the web that I could afford. Not everyone is as rich as you, nor as insensitive and ignorant.

Complain to the BBB and your fed rep and senator. Apparently our federal gov. Is considering legislation to make the early contract termination fees a thing of the past and regulate cell provider contracts in general.

Well, to be honest with you the phone that you are using would not be compatible with any of the internet programs. The T-Zones feature was never to allow such access. It is very limited that is why it is so cheap. Also, it should not affect your IMs because they are completely different. They are just like text msgs. Personally working at T-Mobile I know that no one hangs up on the customers and if it happens then they no longer work for T-Mobile. Do you know how much abuse we take from people and we have to take it. With T-Mobile the customer is first and the reason we don't just credit you because you bitch for 5 mins to an 3 hours is because everyone thinks they can do it and just get everything. Hello, Tmobile is not a non-profit orginization. If you want someone to just give you what you want then go to Cingular, because i can promise you that your problems will not be solved. Giving a credit is just a bandaid. We actually fix the problem, but you have to give us a chance. As employees we dont even get free internet. If you want to pay more for your services, wait longer to speak to someone, and get treated like another number then go somewhere else. If we were not willing to help our customers we would not have won the jd power and assoc. award 5 years in a row. HELLO! Stop your bitching. Not everything goes your way. And you make it sound like you are paying 20 dollars for unlimited text msg for just you that is for probably the 4 people on your acct. Please tell me one company that you can get all the services and prices like T-Mobile. Also, when you talk about Europe having more things, HELLO they are a lot further ahead of us. Do you not realize this. Yes, things can be cheaper since more of the population has a cell phone.

Not true. More cells here per capita than in the EU.
