Hi all,
I've just been given an almost new D600 by a friend and have got it working fine with my T-Mobile SIM card, the phone is O2-branded but is fully unlocked.
I installed the updated Phonelink wizard on my Tungsten T3 to set up the Bluetooth connection and GPRS data account and they are working fine, I can transfer files and contacts between the devices and access the GPRS connection from the T3 without any problems. The problem started when I started using the SMS application on the T3 to send and receive texts.
For a start I do not seem able to download received SMS messages from the phone at all, no matter whether they're stored on the phone or on the SIM card. I suspect this may be a limitation of the phone as the README for the updated Phonelink says there are limitations on SMS operations with certain phones, although the models it lists are all a few years old now, circa 2003-2004. Does anyone know whether or not this is the case with the D600?
Sending messages has been a hit-and-miss affair. Sometimes it works OK, sometimes it doesn't. I've tried changing the phone driver on the T3 from "Universal phone driver" to "Generic GSM" and back but this seems to have no bearing on the ability to send messages, it appears to be a totally random problem.
The biggest problem has been the phone sporadically crashing when I've tried to send or receive from the T3. The Bluetooth connection looks like it's hung and the phone stops responding a minute or so later then reboots after a few seconds. I've accessed the hidden error menu and every time it's reported a watchdog timeout, as if the OS is getting stuck in a loop somewhere.
I suspect the problems may all be due to a subtle incompatibility between the Bluetooth implementations, as the T3 supports version 1.1 but the phone is version 1.2. However, everything I've tried so far has failed to improve the situation.
Can anyone help me with their experiences of using these devices together, or any advice regarding other hidden settings which may be of assistance? Any advice will be gratefully received!

Same problem here, with D900i and Tungsten T3. When trying to send a SMS from T3 to the phone, the phone freezes for a few seconds and then reboots. Haven't found any solution yet, regardless of the type of bluetooth connection used.
