Hi guys,

new here. I'm gonna be getting a LG VX8300 in the next few days. Sorry if this is up already, I looked thru and saw most things that answered most my ?'s. I know the VX8300 is one of the best phones on market right now by what I read about them. Anywayz, how is the mobile web capability on this phone? I'm debating on rather to get VCast or not. If Mobile Web is decent, ill probably get it, can check weather, news etc. If it's real slow and doesn't load to good, i probably won't get it. I won't be on get it now enough to get it, i'll go on weekends to upload ringtones. I plan on getting the music essentials kit and using bitpim for my music needs, and put it on a microSD card. Thanks, any opinions appreciated.

Alrighty. mobile web 2.0 moves well for me. It's much faster than 1.0 and if it's not moving fast enuf for your taste that feature can be added and deleted at any time. you can even add it from your phone, called self provisioning.

Vcast, if you are in an evdo network, (check this coverage @ the Verizon Wireless site) will work at close to broadband speeds for your downloads of videos etc plus it gives you unlimted data time to browse GIN, play games, etc AND has Mobile web built into it. $15 is cheaper than adding more minutes to your line to cover your data minutes, plus has mob web included. can't beat that.

Get it now is on all the new phones, it doesn't cost extra as a feature. It uses your peak min (during peak time only of course, free time during nites and weekends) to browse, the only cost would be the price of the application, ringtone, etc that you purchase.

Uploading ringtones on the weekends makes no difference if you're using bitpim (this cost nothing) or even if using Get it Now. it only cost the price of the ringtone, usually $2.99

P.S. excellent phone and is now on special, buy one get one free with a 2 year contract and of course, this would require two lines and two contracts if you so desired.

Thanks ImEnVerizon for the info. I'm going to go ahead and get VCast afterall, I checked what you said, and I seem to be in the clear. And like you said, if I don't like it, I could always cancel it. Thanks again. I can't wait to get my VX 8300, hear nothing but good things about it

Your very welcome, don't forget your music essentials and memory card. Bitpim and me have a close personal relationship these days too, so if you need help there.
