i have a bluetooth headset i have used with other cell phones, i just got the lg 8300, and i can not pair it with this (or any other) headset.
i go to the bluetooth menu, select add new device, i see the banner about 'place device in discovery mode' (which it is) and i get a message 'no devices found'

Whoa, I can't believe I missed you by 5 minutes last night! I'm really sorry but maybe you'll check back soon.
In cases like this, we have to baby step cuz I can't trust that you are not missing something, so bear with my detail here.
First power off both pieces of equipment for at least 30 seconds and then power up the phone. Make sure in SETTINGS and BLUETOOTH and make sure POWER is on.
Then go to ADD NEW DEVICE and ok, then it will prompt us to put our bluetooth in discoverable mode, press OK. Let's take this next 3 seconds to hold in your talk button, or flip out your mic boom. this depends on your bluetooth model which wasn't mentioned. The phone is gonna seek, hopefully ye shall find and then SELECT, pass key is 0's, keep on agreeing to prompts until the end.
Hopefully it gets this far. Sounds like everything is working, they're just not talking. this is usually cured by just power cycling the pieces of equipment. Good luck now!

that did the trick, (actually figure this out myself at work today! so i am not a total lost cause!) chalk it up to staying up too late.
thanks for taking the time to answer my question. it is greatly appreciated.
