Yes, I know. I'm back, asking for suggestions for a new phone. I destroyed my Razr by slamming it in my car door, and have been borrowing an A630. I love the QWERTY as I'm an avid texter. I absolutely hate the call quality. It's horrible. Besides the fact that I can't get it to work with MPT for some reason, I am looking for a new phone from Cingular. I've been waiting for the iPhone, but I'm not sure I want to jump on that bandwagon. I'm looking for a phone with a QWERTY keypad, but want it in a small package. I don't need a PDA phone like the blackberry/treo's, as all I really do is talk and send SMS/MMS messages. I like the LG NV, but it's on Verizon. Sidekick is only for T-Moblie.and well, I'm not 16 either. Anyone have anyother suggestions for Cingular? I would be willing to buy an unlocked phone.

the cingular version of the sidekick is the Cingular 8125 (same manufacturer *I think*) or a Samsung BlackJack

No, 8125 is HTC, you're thinking of the MDA which is the HTC Wizard and the same as the 8125. The sidekick is Made by Sharp and the OS is Danger.

However, you could get the blackjack, its only 75 bucks after rebate and media plan 175 if you don't get the media package, as you won't get a rebate.

Maybe even an E62, its pretty cheap online at cingular.com

I'll have to look at the 8125.

I'm not goin with a blackjack. played with one, and didn't like it.

Well if you're eligible for an upgrade and are happy with your service, what's two more years? also take a look at the nokia 9300 I picked one up today and love it for texts
