I had a question about some texts I believe were sent through some type of messenger. this number comes up alot:
0080001405
There are also a few other numbers similiar to this, but this number appears to come up the most, almost 100+ a month showing being sent and received from. Any ideas?

Call up your customer service number and have them check out the prem text database to see if they have any info on the company. There are hundreds out there so right off the top of my head that number isn't grabbing me.
they can also tell you how to cancel this service. I guess i'm not clear, do you get these text all month long? did you sign up for the service or text to any company to get some cool "joke of the day' or "ringtone"? are they billing you too?

I haven't signed up for any other services, however I do have AIM Mobile and other messengers on my phone. Perhaps this might be it?

These numbers are for mobile IM. When you use AIM or MSN or Yahoo it will show up with those numbers you found. You will be able to determine that the messages are related to the Mobile IM client by looking at the originating/terminating short codes:
AOL - 9000800014xx
Yahoo - 9000800013xx
MSN - 9000800012xx.
Airtime is only used when you first download the mobile IM application. Messages can still be received after the application is exitted, if you haven't logged off.

And that airtime no longer applies on new plans, but kilobites that translate into a $1.99 per MB at the end of the month would apply. If you still have an older plan then it would be minutes used during peak times for the download. Only first download though, so no worries if you already have it.
