Hi, currently, one of my numbers is prepaid. I'm thinking of signing a new 2-year contract, and I'm considering using the prepaid number for that new contract. Would it be easy for me to do this?
I don't know if I'm going to use the prepaid number for the new contract right away. Would the phone retailer retain their commission if I ported the prepaid number to my plan? I can get a great deal from a 3rd party retailer, but I don't want the porting to appear like I'm signing a new contract, thus rendering that commission void.
Thanks ahead for any help.

If the number isn't from tmobile prepaid then it probably isn't going to be portable. Do a search on tmobile's web site for number portability and there is something that you can type your number in to check if you can or can not port a specific number.

Prepaid tmobile is not a problem. I thought it was from another prepaid carrier.sorry if I caused any confusion.

Call Customer Care.
There is a very, very simple Pre-Paid to Post-Paid conversion process that is usually completed within 24 hours.
Do keep in mind that you will need to a) choose a Rate Plan for your monthly service, B) agree to a 35.00 Activation Fee and c) probably have to sign a 2-yr contract.
