As you may know by now, T-Mo has now upgraded the $39 plan from 600 minutes to 1000 minutes.
As a customer for years, I contacted T-mo and asked if my $39 plan(s) (on 2 phones) be changed to reflect the 1000 mins.
I was told, that I would need to sign a new 2 year contract. I don't do 2 year contracts! I would agree to a new 1 year, but not 2.
So, basically, after all the years of being a customer, and stuck with a contract that gives me 600 mins, others will be paying the same amount and get 400 additional minutes! I'm sorry but that doesn't sound like a company that is customer orientated what so ever.
Granted the CSR was polite, but could not understand my point of being loyal to their customers. Basically her hands were tied, according to her. It always amazes me to read on these boards and to hear the CSR's say that their hands are tied or (there's nothing more they can do), why do the customers take things out on us, and crap like that, that I say, then let us speak with someone who can do something about it! And if the CSR's know the company won't let them forward calls like this, then don't bitch, you know you will be the one who gets the crap! Get it? OK enough ranting about the CSR's.good or bad, that's not the point here anyway.
At the end of the day, T-Mo has clearly dropped the ball when it comes to customer service over the past year or so. They pride themselves on the fact that they have the cheapest rates.well, I guess you get what you pay for!

Unfortunately I think you will get the same thing from all carriers. I have Cingular and the coverage is great but the customer service sucks.

actually, you should be to upgrade to the 1000 mins by signing one year, however, you wont get such a great discount if you want a new phone
just call CSR and ask if you could change your plan to the 1000 mins, but only a 1 year contract
when i went to upgrade my phone, i was able to do a 1 year, but i had to pay a bit more for my phone

Won't be able to be done. Tmobile employees are going thru a list of people who are going on this plan every night to ensure compliance with the 2 year contract. If you mananaged to get by the two year contract, they are putting people back on the 600 minutes. Sorry you feel bad about it. I was upset to at first, but I've never had a problem with tmobile in 4 years so I figured I'd buckle down for 2 years to get this promo.
