Im going to be getting a new phone within the next week, and i would like to know which phone you guys consider the best?
I'm a moderate texter and i'd like to have a good camera on it (in camera phone terms).
im worried that the enV could take a long time to get used to, since ive been texting on regular flip phones for years, and i'm hooked on the T9 with my current vx8100.
With the VX 9400, it's cool how it has the TV feature, but i dont think i'll be using it much. and i'm also worried about have the left/right soft keys not directly below the screen, as is wat happens with the 9400 when you have it turned to the side. i've also heard that camera is not as good as the enV.
thanx in advance!

the only reason I would suggest anyone get the 9400 is if they're are planning to get Mobile TV. as it stands right now, tv is in VERY limited areas too, so make sure you check the map first at verizonwireless.com
I'm not a big texter but I bought the enV because I wanted a phone that could do everything since I had just taken a job in tech support. I've really been impressed. I text now more than ever, and the full keyboard is not only good for that but for anything you type, contact input, mobile web surfing. I've found it a huge benefit.
the other thing I love about it is the camera it takes very sharp pix.
but if you're looking for something like you're used to, a flip phone, check out the LG-VX8700 or 8300. both very solid phones & the 8700 is 'amazing' looking, imo. good luck.

The enV has T9 on the outside keys too, so you have options.

Well, you bring up the topic of web surfing and i would like to know:
with my current vx8100, web surfing is less than stellar, especially with larger webpages like myspace, ebay and others. i notice that it will freeze for a few seconds and then give me a error along the lines of: "not enough memory for this application" before i can start scrolling. and ontop of all that, the page layout is usually all jumbled up.
so the question im getting at is: are any of the newer phone models, such as the enV, 9400, or 8300, better at handling regular mainstream internet pages than my 8100? if so, which models are the best? i like to use the internet quite a bit on my phone since i subscribe to the vcast vpak so i get unlimeted web time.

If u use VZ navigator i suggest lg 9400/ enV has a small external screen making it difficult to use navigation without phone being open
