If I pay for my 1,000 text messages a month why do I still have to pay for texting other countries? That, to me, makes no sense. Then I'm not getting 1,000 text messages a month for $4.99, am I? No, because I'm paying for text messages to England and they still come off of my 1,000 right? Kind of like Double Jeopardy IMO.
If I sign on MSN with my phone and communicate that way with the person in Englahd - it's free. But a standard text message costs money. But yet they BOTH come out of my monthly 1,000 allowance - so I don't get it.
If I get unlimited, will they still charge me for text messages sent to England and other countries that I do not reside in?

All text message packages are for domestic messages only. International messages pull from your message bucket and also have an additional charge.

Yeah, but how is that fair?
Why doesn't it have an additional charge if I communicate via MSN, Yahoo, AIM? They are still in the same country.
What's the difference with text messages?
I think cellphone providers should offer free international text messages as well - I'm already paying for 1,000. Even if I get unlimited, it doesn't help me, as there is no plan to prevent me from paying 15 cents for each text message to England.

Stick with the IM's. It costs cell phone companies to send international text messages, so the cost is passed on to the consumer.

Well, that explains the IM issue then.
I guess I was just shocked at my bill - I admit, I had no idea text messages from other countries weren't included in your everyday plan. Then I found out that you CAN'T purchase a plan for international text messaging. So basically I have to CALL the person which also will cost me money. lol. It's a lose/lose situation.

That works if the person is on AOL MSN or Yahoo at the time. They're always at their phone but not always necessarily signed into MSN or Yahoo etc.
Just kind of sucks that there is currently no plan for a certain amount of monthly international text messages. I'd pay for a plan, like 400 for $4.99 etc. At the rate of 15 cents per text I can't send many without it becoming a problem.
