I've been with Cingular for a number of years and I'm tired of them. My entire family uses Verizon and I cant think of one family member that doesnt. I just re-uped my contract with them because I had to get a new phone. I regret doing this because now I want out.
I was thinking about going into a Verizon store with my mother who has 6 lines with them and try to see if they will pay for my cancellation fee if I switch. I'm thinking that if we tell them that my mom will cancel their service if they dont pay for it maybe that will work.
Has anyone had Verizon pay for the fee before?

Many people have tried that one before, but will never work. The threat of cancelling service only works if your out of contract and want something like a free phone or a bill re-rate. A lot of people always says they are going to cancel but truthfully we just give them all the information they need to port their number out and thank them for calling in to Verizon Wireless.
Most people who use this threat don't fully understand that mobile communications is a business. If you go to Best Buy and tell them your going to circuit city if they don't give you something for free they will tell you the same thing we will.
