So I called and switched to myfavs this afternoon. My husband and I both have a Razr that we bought last June. When I switched over to the myfavs family plan the lady on the phone asked what phones we had and I told her. After waiting almost 6 hours and still not being able to do anything with myfaves I called t-mobile back and asked "what's going on with my phone?"

I was then informed that the old Razr doesn't work with the myfavs, I need a new phone. So he suggested I go to a t-mobile store and do "buyers remorse" sign back up and get the new Razr that is compatible with the myfavs.

Is he pulling my leg? Am I going to be charged for canceling the account early? I'm really mad that the lady I spoke to earlier didn't say a word about us having the "old" Razr.

Is it really just as easy as he said, go cancel the account and sign back up?

Sadly, you will need to get a new phone in order to use myfavs. Your phone must have the software for myfavs to be on that plan. The rep should have never allowed you on the myfavs plan without the proper plan. See what a local tmobile store can do for you in terms of a new phone. If that isn't an option, I'd call tmo back, explain the situation and switch back to a regular plan.

I talked to them again today and was told I would be charged $200 fee per phone if I canceled. Bummer. She did state that I dont get the myfav features but I am still able to use myfav with the contacts I choose. I gave her my 5 and she entered them. I tested it just now by calling my mom for 15 minutes then checked my minutes (whenever) and none of them were used for the phone call, so it looks like I get the benefits of free calling but dont get the cool phone features.

Of course my mom said to call back and not get off the phone until they agree to send me the phone that is compatible since I was never told my wouldn't "work" with the plan. Actually I like my phone so the cool features doesn't really bother me.

It ticks me off none the less b/c I was able to get the new razor for $50 had I picked it at the time of plan change, the lady this morning told me it would cost me $199 to add that phone now. Even though it's THEIR mistake and not mine.
