Hello All,
I just downloaded OptiFlash 3.6.0.4 and I received my DataCable.
After I added the Region as the guide suggest, when I went to select my hardware platform. I CANNOT choose SGH-V205 because it is not listed there....
When I chose V200 and started backing up my original firmware I go error as follow:
".....CRC MisMatch..."
and it was going to take about 1 hour and 6 minutes to backup my firmware....
Please help.

Strange it should take 20 min v200 and v205 are the same. Did you tried it with the v208 or the p400?

I'll try using V208 and P400.
Another questions is I am not able to download MyPhotos from Phone to PC. That ICON is grayed out when the phone is ON. And It is activated when the Phone is OFF.
I am Using EasyGPRS 2.1.5. Is there any other freeware out there that is bit more easier and with more functionality then this?

I went back to OptiFlash and looked for V208 and P400 hardware platform...I was only able to find P400. So I tried that and I am still getting "ERR_CRC" CRC Mis Miatch error.
This is happening while I am trying to backup my own current "Original" firmware that came with the phone.
Does anyone has V205 Hardware Platform file?

V205 cant upload photo's.
Did you tried it on another pc? The V208 is above the P400.

Don,
The reason I was not able to backup my FW is because that PC was running Win98SE. I tried it on WinXP and it worked like champ.
I now have a goood backup of my FirmWare. However, the problem is before I upload "G1" firmware I want to backup my pictures that I took with my phone.
Isn't there any software that will allow me to download myPhoto's to my computer?
If I don't and can't download myPhotos to pc and I upgrade to "G1" firmware, will that cause me to loose those photos?

With the V205 you'll have to mail them to yourself. If you upgrade all your photos will be deleted.
