I am still new to Verizon and I had a few questions about this company.
First I am trying to decide between phones, I still have the abiltity to switch out phones and I currently have the samsung u740. I wanted to see if any of the chocolate phones were better. I was looking at the blue mint one. Which phone is the better of the two? I am a heavy text user, don't really browse the web too much, I prefer a good camera as well as a good bluetooth connection.
Second, how the heck are you supposed to download your own ringtones? I bought a USB cable, and even that deosn't work to upload my own ringtones. Is there any kind of backdoor to this?
Thanks in advance!

to my knowledge, you cant upload, repeat, CANT upload your own personal ringtones onto verizon phones, thats one of the functions they impaired, as far as getting the music kit, you need to check with a verizon rep

i've never had a problem with samsung, but if you're a excessive texter/emailer i say the u740, but if you're a regular/basic textier and using the phone, i say the chocolate

Hi. I'm also a text user as well. but I use it every now and then. If I were you, I'd get the EnV as well. I still own "The V", and it's still good. The EnV is somewhat of an upgrade to "The V". here's a "table" comparison:
The V (LG VX9800) EnV (LG VX9900)
Video-
recording: Up to 15 seconds Up to 1 hour
Picture
Format: 1.3 MP (Megapixel(s)) 2.0 MP
Card
Format: MiniSD (up to 1 GB*) MicroSD (Up to 2 GB*)
*GB = gigabytes
Bluetooth: Class 1.1 or 1.2 1.2, I think
Refer to this (or other) cellular phone websites for more detail. Corret me if I'm wrong from the above "table".
I don't know about the huge differences between your desired phone model; BUT, on this website, they have a "comparison" feature where you can compare between 2-10 or 20 phones at once.
Hope this helps.

I forgot to add your inquiry about the "company" you're referring to: Are you talking about how the VZW reps tell you stuff about phones, plans, or what? Keep in mind that they have a new unlimited plan for people that can have unlimited PIX, FLIX, and TEXT message, but it requires either a 1-year or 2-year new plan. Ask your store rep. (or dealer) for more details. I'm just giving you the basics of what I know.
