This isn't a bash on the New Orange eNV (9900). Its a GREAT phone and I love it, but I returned the first one because of VERY short battery life and the second one is only lasting 48 hrs on standby.
Can anyone share if this is typical? The brochures say 480 hours and I can't get 10% of that without a dead battery. Did I get two bum batteries or is there some setting I can change to extend battery life? Thanks to anyone that can shed some light!

I've only had mine for a few days now, three to be exact, and I have charged it twice, once when I got it, and yesterday when it completly died.
I was messing around with video and pictures alot though, and I just looked through the guide and it say that kills the battery fast, so I don't know, I'll have to have it longer to know if mines the same as yours or not.

Maybe one advice (since I don't have the EnV, but "The V") I could give you guys is that maybe you guys could buy some extended life battery for your EnV. If that doesn't help, like you guys said, charge it up. Otherwise, maybe have it checked by an authorized VZW rep or call their customer service (if so) for help. Hope this helps.

I had the Env for over a year. I too expericend HORRIBLE battery life with the original battery. I got an extended battery and had NO problems. sometimes almost a week before having to charge it. I would try that before giving up on the Env, it really is a great phone

While I don't have your phone, I know about the battery for the phone. The standard battery for that phone (part # AGOM) has 950 mAh - with this you should be getting a little over 3 hours of talk time and right around 47 hours of standby time. Some tips for prolonging your battery: Lithium Ion batteries prefer frequent partial discharges versus being run all the way down and charged back up again. Hope this helps.
