My parents were told last week by the girl at the verizon store that they can pay 99cents/month for unlimited ringtones. Is this true? I cant find anything online about it and it doesnt really make sense. But they signed up for that little dealy and am wondering what they really signed up for.

only thing you can get for $.99/month is Ringback Tones, probably what the person at the store was talking about. The feature is $.99/month and additional tones are $1.99
Ringback Tones are what your callers hear instead if ringing before you answer the phone.

So are you saying that ringback tones are unlimited for $.99/month as long as you continue to pay. Since ringbacks are probably handle by Verizon and arent actually on the phone?
When you say additional tones do you mean the regular ringtones for 1.99?
Because what she told them was to do it for $.99 and load up on RTs and then cancel that part after the month is up.

Ringback tones cost $1.99 each and last for one year from the purchase date. In addition, whether or not you buy any, you will be charged $0.99 per month for the service. I don't think you can "load up" on tones then cancel it. Personally I think it is worth it except I don't get the whole "lasts for one year" thing.
