T-Mobile Wing wm6
80 Text Messages charged to my Wing and never made any. I think I understand that yahoo chat and voice msg received are charged as txt msg and have received several of those. I did log on to yahoo but never entered a line or anything since there wasn't anyone on and those show up as a charge which is fine. I called Customer Service and sent E-Mails and haven't heard. I have the basic plan at 29.95 with nothing added on. I had a previous T-Mobile phone and never was charged as I never use text to anyone Any ideas ?
Thanks in advance

I must reply to my own post. I live in Central Maine and travel to Madawaska, Maine and some of the places in town will give me a roaming and connect to Rogers. I've read other post and it seems that Rogers is well know for charges to your phone bill when the calls were never made.
Any reply would be welcome as I am still waiting for word from T-Mobile. I didn't mention the Rogers part to T-Mobile but will if they ever get back to me. I paid for my T-Mobile Wing and all charges including the ones I didn't make but told the person (I have her T-Mobile ID #) that I talked with that I expect them to resolve the problem and I look for a credit and no further charges like this in the future. I know they will say the call came from my phone because of the sim card being unique etc etc. But I just never made or received the calls that were charged.

Were you hit with a data roaming fee or a voice fee or a txt msg fee?

They were all TXT Msg Outgoing. They were for EVERY single day of the month and of course I'll say again I never sent Txt msgs. The Destination number is (206) 313-0004. I talked with the people in person at the store where they sell T-Mobile and they had all kinds of answers.
1. When one tower signal is stronger than the other it will automatically use that one. I SAID THAT MY PHONE IS OFF AND ONLY COMES ON WHEN A CALL COMES IN. He said it didn't matter.
2. I said if my phone is in my sock drawer for the month and I don't use it I will still have charges on it for txt msg. And he said probably but you will still have to pay for it.
3. Nothing they can do at the store. (Of course)
I checked my Wing mobile and the number I mention above is on it and it won't let me change it to something else.
Thanks for your reply

Sounds like you could have got hit with an instant messaging charge since you mentioned using yahoo messanger. You are probably roaming onto rodgers since you are close to canada. That's my only guess at this time. I don't want to sound rude, and please don't take this as something I'm saying aginst you, but I want to point out that your reason #1 in the above post is something that is a physical impossibility. You say your phone is off and only comes on for a call. That to me means that when u get a phone call the phone mananges to power itself on from a powerless state.

Yes your right about turning on. It doesn't and thanks for correcting me.
I used yahoo twice and was billed twice for it. And it shows up as Yahoo so everything there is fine. 1 min each as I turned it on to see if it worked and to see if anyone was on.
Was in Madawaska once and I'm sure I called middle Maine ONCE more than likely using Rogers Wireless.
But I live in Millinocket, Maine and in T-Mobile coverage.

This is with the power mode off or on doesn't matter. When I'm traveling I am switched from tower to tower as everyone does automatically. But with T-Mobile and maybe others I'm not sure, but with T-Mobile and my Wing Cell phone when I am switched from tower to tower I am being charged for a txt msg. So I'm still waiting for T-Mobile to get back to me and they haven't and I'm running up txt msgs every day. I also think it's just one provider that is doing the charge maybe like Unicel towers. I talk to a very knowledgeable lady that sells T-Mobile and she said many many elderly people that have bought phones from her are being charged 100's of txt msgs and they don't even know what they are. So I think this will be straighten out soon and I'll not be charged for these msgs we will see and I'll post one more time with the results of what T-Mobile finally decides to do with my account.

Just a quck note. T-Mobile wants me to upgrade to unlimited Txt Msgs for an additional $14.99 and said that my charges were from using Yahoo. Again, I said I don't use Yahoo and said I'd let two more weeks pass and if they didn't take care of this I'd start with the BBB & FFC and resolve it that way.

I have not gotten my first bill for my WING phone however it's already been a major hassle. T mobile is so screw-up at there stores and support it is not funny.
I purchased two new phone 2 weeks ago to get rid of the old Samsung phone I and a Nokia we were using. They sold me on the idea of using the Hot Spot @ home WIFI connectivity for making call’s when I was at home. Hahaha
Problem 1
They sold me a WING and the Nokia on the premise that they would work with Hot Spot @ Home service. I went back to the store and told them the phone would not call over the WIFI unit. The argued with me telling me I had configured the phone incorrectly. So after spending hours in the store I went home with a set of number to program the phone. Well of course it did not work, so I made a call to T-mobile support again, this time however I was told that the phone would not work with Hot Spot @ home. I was a little pissed off.
Problem 2
I then went back to the store to have the Hot Spot @ home remove from my bill. Again I spent several hours in the store as they were having problems removing the Hot Spot @ Home, they had to call service for help. Finally the told me they could remove it but the price would remain $19.95. When I purchased the phones 8 days before the price was $9.95 per phone. So I told them to remove the Hot Spot @ home services.
Problem 3
I changed my plan to My Fav's and raised the minutes to 1000 due to the Hot Spot issues. While at lunch today one of my co-works accidentally save his name into my I Fav's, none had be activated yet. I went back to the T-mobile store imagining the worst. The agent told me to call 611 and they would fix the problem Well I called 611 and was told it’s too bad and I'd have to live with this number in My Fav's. I told them to change my service back to the original service I had 2 days before, so they did. So now that service is over, however I’m stuck with the these little balls on my screen, another call is need to support, I hate this service.
T Mobile service before and after the sale is ridicules. I should have dumped both phones and the services before it went passed the 14 days.
