Hi all,
I have a brand new unlocked Samsung U600 (from Singapore, I think).
I've Googled the Internet to death and have tried every single configuration I've found, but am unable to get MMS and WAP to work on Cingular/AT&T here in NY. I can neither send nor receive text messages (no error messages, but texts aren't received on this phone or any other), and every time I try to access the Internet I get "Service unavailable."
Can anyone help with these settings for both MMS and WAP?
Homepage URL
Proxy (checked, unchecked?)
If checked,
.IP address
.Port
Linger time
DNS (checked, unchecked?)
If checked,
.DNS 1
.DNS 2
Bearer (GPRS or GSM?)
Advanced settings
.APN
.Login ID
.Password
Also, in Messages > Settings > Text Messages > Sending Options > Bearer Selection, should it be "GSM" or "GPRS preferred"?
Thanks!

ok i know this might sound complicated so ill try to use small words.
1) look at the top ot theis forum board
2) youll see HOW WAP AND MMS settings here
3) fins a phone thst is close you yours
4) insert the settings
now if you actualy took the time to resarch this you would have seen this same reply about 100 times, also you would have seen people being told that unlocked / unbranded ( non att/cingular ) are not alwys going to work on the data network

Thanks for your reply, Russ.
I'll try to use small words as well.
I. TRIED. THAT. ALREADY.
I've been to the Cingular website. I've tried the settings for all the models that even vaguely resembled mine.
Now if you'd taken the time to actually read my post, you would have seen that I'd already researched and tried everything I'd found.
I'd thought that maybe someone would have been able to be helpful in this forum. Perhaps someone was able to find something that worked that I hadn't been able to find.
I do appreciate your reply and attempt to point me in the right direction, though.

I am having the same problem, and called Samsung, who told me they couldn't help because it's not an American phone.
I tried all sorts of different combinations from the AT&T website and these forums, and haven't found anything yet that works.
Anyone?

the joys of using a non carrier phone. the only thing you can do is apply the settings posted in the sticky and hope for the best.
Good luck

Does anyone know if there are different settings to be able to use the HSDPA network?
I have a U700 and the GPRS works fine, but I'd really like to be able to use the higher speed network.

no the settings for a 3g phone are the same for a gprs, the phone itself looks for the hsdpa signal not the settings in the phone , but as has been said b4 unlocked phone may or maynot work properly even wiith the correct settings , if you wan more of a chance you can try to flash it with att settings
