I'm using an Infrared cable (BAFO120) but yet I still can't connect to my S500 AFTER changing the speed settings. AND using EasyStudio, not EasyGPRS.
The computer manages to detect the phone, but not the software. Help!!!

fill in you name and phone number and if that doesn't work try it with EasyGPRS.

hey!
I discovered my "problem". I forgot to remove the sticker covering the infrared port. arghhh.. how irritating. now it works fine..
anywae, still exploring the S500.. in my opinion.. a very simple phone.. with good graphics and nice ringtones.. but.. being a Nokia user all this while.. hmmm.. somehow Samsung is still.. lacking somewhere.
but it makes up for it with it's extremely good graphics! I'm still amazed by the high resolution..

Hi.. i seem to have the same problem... my infrared device is also "SMC IrCC - Fast Infrared Port" but i can't seem to get the easy studio "online". i only have com1 and com4 options... the computer can detect my phone perfectly.. and i have removed the sticker over the phone. Does anyone know what the problem could be? maybe some further configurations in the computer that i don't know?

well, i have come to realise two things:
1) if the file size for animated .ABM files exceed a certain size (i do not know.. maybe 30K?) the Easystudio program refuses to load it.
2) s500 can use static JPEG files which are 128x128 pixels in size.. when Easystudio loads the image into the phone, it automatcially crops the image down to 128x126 pixels.

I have an SGH-E700 and when I try to use PIMS and File Manager connected usng the irDa the program does not recognize the phone, my computer recognises it but when I start up the program it doesn't, I have selected the irda port and set the speed to 57600 and also filled in my name and telephone number

Unzip it to "Here" and it will appear in the same dir as the UnZipthing.exe .

Hi
I have downloaded easystudio PIM&file manager for my D500, installed it and after some problems finally got a connection via bluetooth. But when I try to load data from my phone a "loading screen" pops up but it doesn't do anything!
I can transfer files with the bluetooth connection and I also tried easystudio on another computer and it worked fine. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong???
