T-Mobile or Sprint?

I'm down to my final two carriers--sprint and t-mobile--and I need to choose one. Here's my list of pros and cons:

Sprint:
Pros:
-I can get a 15% discount off a monthly plan through my school
-nights and weekends begin at 7pm
-coverage seems more than adequate for the two most important areas I'll be
Cons:
-I've heard bad things about their customer service
-I've heard it takes a long time for them to apply a discount that you might get through work or school
-only 450 shared minutes for the family plan I'm looking at

T-Mobile
Pros:
-I've heard their customer service is good (or at least better than sprint)
-1000 minutes for the same price as the sprint family plan
-I may be able to get a veteran discount (I think they offer one--anyone know more?)

Cons:
-I don't know if their coverage will work for sure in the two areas I need
-a 14-day trial period instead of the 30-day trial period sprint has

What do you guys think?

Have u thought of switching to VZW? tHEY HAVE better cvrg than the other cmpanies u listed. They also have benefits of of joining. They offer a discount caled the NEW EVERY 2 discount which gives u an addtl. $100 off the NEW cstmr price of a phone after just 20 months of srvc.

-even if u chng ur phone by doing an esn chng u will not have activation fee or change of your phone upgrade date. Sprint charges an activation fee when u upgrde ur phone. Sprint also resets ur eligible upgrade date after doing an esn change even if it's with a phone that ur buddy gave you. (i.e. not a phone upgrade). T-mobile on the other hand gives u a lot of min. for a low cost and horrible coverage. If u can live with their horrible coverage go with them. They also do not offer unlmtd mobile to mobile min. Go with VZW! u PAY A LITTLE BIT MORE for the ability to use the most reliable network.

T-mobile works great. i have had them all including verizon. Like the last post said, they are more expensive. for the same price as the mobile to mobile (only to verizon customers) i guess you will have to weight out on how many people you know on verizon wireless. other than that. t-mobile offers 5favs. talk to any 5 people/numbers for FREE. ALSO CHECK COVERAGE ON WHERE YOU LIVE TO MAKE SURE T-MOBILE WORKS! i think you would like t-mobile services. plus they have been rated 5 years straight in j.d. power and assoc. good luck!

Chech your coverage with a tmobile street level map as mentioned above and see how good it is. If it is ok, I'd go with tmobile because since tmobile uses GSM, you can use your phone almost anywhere in the world without any other equipment. Around 185 countries use GSM as their mobile technology. Sprint uses CDMA making their phones incompatiable with most countries in the world.

I have actually had both of the companies. But i still have tmobile. I'd say sprint is better. If you are going to be in buildings throughout your day, sprint is better for you because CDMA (sprints technology) generates signal better through buildings than GSM ( tmobile's technology) does. I like to talk on the phone, so I'd prefer nights at 7 than 9. Also my tmobile phone has a lousy internal antenna. If i put my hand over the top of the phone at any time, my signal drops 1 -2 to even 3 bars. Not good. Especially becuase this happens more often when im on a call, making a dropped call easier to get. I did not have that problem with sprint, having had an internal antenna on my sprint phone as well. So for those reasons, I say you should get sprint

I have had both t-mobile and sprint. I liked them both - got great service with each and the signal/coverage was about the same. The only real difference I saw is that my t-mobile phones always seemed to last longer

I have also had both carriers. I have pros and cons for both.

Sprint:
Pros-
-good service for the price.
-good discounts on phones when the time comes.
-decent phones.
Cons-
-customer service could be better (but which carrier doesn't have problems)
-I am not sure about now, but they never had sim cards (very annoying).

T-Mobile
Pros-
-Great prices on plans.
-Great prices on phones.
-Sim cards.
Cons-
-Reception could be better.

I personally like T-Mobile more. I have had it for about a year and my reception has been pretty decent. I like the phones and I have had a good experience with the T-Mobile stores.
