If the phone numbers were stored on your SIM card, then yes, you will lose all of your phone numbers. If the numbers are in your phone, then you should be able to access them once you put in your new SIM.
You will NOT, in any case, lose your cell phone number. That is easily transferred by the cell phone company from one SIM to another.

also, i was very drunk one night and woke up the next morning where I had seven chances left to enter the PUK code correctly but I had no memory of the night before. how did it come up on my phone that I had to enter the PUK code?

Are you asking if I was there?
The PUK code is required when one of the security codes (phone code, SIM code, et cetera) are entered incorrectly multiple times. In most phones, there are security options that allow the user to lock the phone or the SIM card out to prevent unauthorized use. If I had to guess, I'd say those were messed around with, prompting the request for the PUK code.

I have a similar problem. I turned my phone off while on vacation. When I turned it back on, it says "SIM Lock". I don't remember ever putting a code on it. I entered random numbers to get the prompt for the PUK code (which I obtained from AT&T) but the phone does not ask for the PUK code. AT&T gave me a new SIM card but I still get the same message. Samsung gave me a code to reset the phone and I still get the same message "SIM Lock".
Any advise?
