I recently purchased a brand new T610, upgrading myself several generations from my old Nokia...
I do have a problem with my new phone though, I cant seem to find any way to display my images in full size (covering the entire display) and/or zooming in and then moving around using the joystick? I've toyed with the Nokia 3650's imageviewer where these things are sooo easy to do... Have I gravely missed something or did SE never include such options? And if they never did, is there any way to reach the imagefiles using Java-programming? Wouldn't be that difficult to program a viewer if the files were reachable... Such a waste to store such realtively large files without being able to see the details!

You can't do it on the T610, as far as I know. Sony Ericsson's reasoning on this phone was that the pictures taken would be used primarily for MMS - not for PC transfer, wallpapers, printouts, etc. Therefore it didn't see the need to support a fullscreen VGA resolution of 640x480.
Anyway, considering how grainy T610 pictures are it would probably be a waste to be able to zoom in.

In daylight the t610's images are actually quite good, even when zoomed in. My problem is that I use my bluetooth-enabled laptop to upload highquality images to the phone which I then send to friends and c-workers, both for fun and business... I also receive HQ-images and it's needless work to boot up the laptop just to see the details!
If there is some way of reaching the files using Java I'd make a viewer myself, but I recently learned that the J2ME-spec uses a strong sandbox-principle so it's probably not possible to write one..
Only way left is probably to email SE asking for firmware upgrades...

I have to argue with you again on the quality of the T610 camera in broad daylight! If it's TOO bright, the colors on mine tend to over-saturate, which leaves me with nicely psychedelic-toned pictures but little in the way of detail.
Of course, I'm still on R1L and I'm told that R3C actually lets you adjust saturation. Is this true?

The display of the T610 sucks. There is currently no feature that allows you to enlarge the images in a T610. The upcoming T630 has a built-in feature that allows users to scaled images taken to a 640*480 resolution(not actually take them). Hence, if you want to take images suitable for desktop viewing, go in for a Series60 Jokia phone.

Hey, if you really want a handset that supports a 640*480 reolution camera, buy the P900.

gforce, it's totally 2nd hand information passed on to me someplace else on this forum! There are two major fixes in the R3C series: 1. You don't have to go through a million button presses just to choose who to send an SMS to; and 2. You can control saturation instead of just brightness/shutter speed.
Of course, I don't pass things on as gospel truth until I actually see them for myself. So as long as I'm still on R1L, caveat emptor

I took some pictures, but don't know how to get the images upload onto internet (my email) or how to get them into my pc. Anyone knows how to do it?
