I renewed my verizon plan today and got my new phone, and when I was picking if I wanted vcast and all the stuff, I wasnt sure if those warranties were worth it.
One was $2 a month and covered the phone if it just stopped working, you could just swap it out.
Another was $5 a month, and said if you drop it etc. they replace it but it has a $50 deductable on top of the $5 a month.
Then their was a $6 one, that covers if it breaks or is stolen etc. but also has a $50 deductable.
the 5 &6 dollar ones dont seem worth it as u end up paying what the phone is worth over the 2 years if u include the deducable, but im not sure about the $2 one.
Anyone have experiance with the insurance?

My personal opinion only: Insurance plans are always a waste of money. I think car insurance is complete baloney. Same thing with insurances on tvs or DVD players when you go into one of the big box electronics stores. I worked at Circuit City and they drilled us to sell those. Guess why? They make TTOONNNSSS of money off them!
HOWEVER, if you are someone who is careless (my brother) and do things like forget your phone places or drop it in a glass of lemonade (no he honestly did it as an accident), then insurance is great.
When I first got my phone my brother told me to make sure I got insurance because accidents always happen. I've gone a year, I've dropped the phone 3 times giving it a couple of scratches only. My brother on the other hand has gone through 4 phones in a little over a year.
I think it comes down to how you treat your things. If you work in a job where you're always getting dirty or wet, or if you're clumsy and careless.go for the insurance.

I think its a waste of money.
They try to sell it to you because it basically pure profit.
