My Dad pays a family plan of $100 a month with unlimited messaging.

I've been using Mobile IM a LOT with MSN recently.and I don't know how many messages obviously I've sent and received. I've done it for 3 weeks now and I don't know how much Dad is going to pay.

I only just found out today that Unlimited messaging doesn't count.

How will Dad be billed?

He doesn't know I've been using it. My Mum knew and I told her don't worry I won't be charged extra - because the Manual said you will be charged at your Price Plan.

I'm very sorry if anyone thinks this is stupid - but I'm terribly confused as to how Verizon bills everything, there isn't any clear explanation. I looked on the website and I still don't understand.

If I had to guess, you'll be billed on how many KBs were sent.

please everyone do not guess when it comes to billing questions!

1st off it depends on your message package. If you have a unlmtd msg pack that is built into your calling plan you have unlmtd msging which would include, txt, pix, flix. im's.

2nd. If you have an add on with the current msg pricing you will have either $5 250 msgs, $10 unlmtd in 500 msg outside VZW, $15 1500 msg outside VZW and unlmtd in and $20 5000 msg outside VZW with unlmtd in msging. Either way all of these pricings would include txt, pix, flix, im's. If you are using IM to another VZW cstmr and have unlmtd "IN" msging THAT will not count as mobile to mobile.

Please use #data then press send, to get a up to date msg count as to what's already been used.

Do you know how many min. you have for your calling plan? That will help narrow down what price plan you are on?

If you are on the America's Choice II select price plan you pay $99.99 for 2 lines of service that share 700 anytime minutes with unlmtd msging.

UNLMTD MSGING includes txt, pix, flix, and IM's.

Hey - I got the bill today! Dad had to pay a lot - don't know why, it's his first/second bill.

In total of all messages, it was 6072 for my number.

Extra Charge: $00

I didn't get charged for IMing!
