Almost all my calls are failing in the past two weeks on T-Mobile. I have called Customer Service several times and I've been told "The Server is having problems in your area", or try turning the phone on/off, maybe it's the battery, maybe it's the sim card.etc, etc, when I tried to move to another carrier (Verizon), T Mobile directed me to a Supervisor who said I'd be hit with an early termination fee.I have reset the settings several times, the battery is charged and the bars are plentiful. Why would almost every call fail?

for the last two weeks my phone (Unbranded K1) has been going in and out of "Emergency Only" mode. Even when it shows TMobile, good signal, and Edge functioning, the phone will sometimes not allow outgoing or incoming calls. I thought it might be my phone but maybe it's not. I'm in the Phoenix area.

usually international phones have poorer phone reception, since they're frequency settings are different. eventhough they may have the ability to function with the necessary freq, i notice that my mom's phone, a samsung e315, has better reception than my razr vx

thisivi3: the reception isn't an issue. I have always had great reception (metro PHX). I scoped some info on the Motorola Phone board about a character in Canada that uses Fido and his did the same thing after they "upgraded" their caller ID. He cancelled the network caller id and it worked for him. I have done the same with TMobile but the phone still won't function properly. But, right after they disabled it, it worked fine for a little while (a few minutes).
It seems that this is an issue between the network and my phone. The phone registers, shows a network but won't get feedback when trying to make a call, receive a call, text, etc.
I'm about ready to either A) reprogram the phone with TMobile software or B) switch carriers.
krazykat40: you still having problems? I'm kinda basing my solution on the fact that you have the same problem with the same network at the same time. what type of phone do you have (model and unlocked?) and where is your service? Trying to narrow it down.
