I have the LG CU500v through AT&T. I am on my third phone on all three of family talk numbers, so nine phones total. My latest phones keeps randomly turning off, dropping calls constantly, and overall living up to it's expectations. I called AT&T to see what they could do. They said they could replace it with either the Nokia N75 , Samsung A727, or the Motorola Razr V3xx. So I settled on the Nokia N75, they then informed me that it was on backorder, and to call back in 3 days. Three days later they repeated this same info. It's now been 4 weeks of calling and still no N75. I finally settled on the V3xx, which I didn't want, but just want a phone that works. They informed that they could give me that phone, but only in gray. No choice of color. I've been a loyal customer of Cingular for nine years, and no complaints before, or returned phones. I was with them when they were Bellsouth Mobile. They will not budge beyond this. I just need some advice about what I can or should do?

I was told they had the V3xx in the other colors, but not for me since I did not have a V3xx in the first place.

Right. Well the reason for that is because they carry just the basic shell of the phone in all of the colours, but to change your complete make and model you need to recieve a full kit. Meaning it has to come with a back, a battery, and a charger. Warranty doesnt carry full kits of all of the colours, just grey. So if they sent you one of the other colours you would recieve a phone for which you have no back cover, or battery, or charger. You also would have the choice of staying with your LG. Under your warranty agreement they dont have to change your make no matter how many exchanges you've done. They only do it as a courtesy to you. So stop complaining, take whats offered, and be happy it IS offered. Because there are companies out there who would never offer to change you to a different phone. Also, as a side note, the N75 isnt that great of a phone anyway, there are a lot of complaints about it, out of all of those the LG is probably the most reliable.

I settled on the V3xx. I will never extend my contract with cingular again though. At this point I'm thinking about buying two cans and some REALLY long string for my mobile communication. I just hope I don't have to return my cans 9 times also. Also I do treat the CSR I spoke with each time with respect, I've worked in Customer service and know that it's not their fault that I have a piece of shit phone.
