Okay I got this cellphone from a friend that used Cingular. the actual model on the sticker under the battery says v3(G8/9/18/19). which leads me to believe that it is just a regular v3. i was using gsm libertys remote unlocking program MotoPhoenix and i select the phone type and check unlock posibilty and it says that "the version of soft in phone is not suitable!" please try as Motorola V3r. i do this and it says it can only be unlocked by testpoint. what is test point? how does it work and how do i unlock it. i also read that you can downgrade your boot loader and try to unlock it that way and the software fails to write to the phone this way. my bootloader is 0A.52 ANd software version r4515_g_08.bd.d3r. any help will be greatly appreciated

It is a V3r and you can only unlock it with testpoint. This involve stripping the phone and shorting out a point on the board
