Yes there are several guides

There is one at http://www.themotoguide.com/flashingflexing.php

First you would need to install all the drivers - there is a guide for this in tutorial section

Hope it works out well!

Ok, So I'm not getting any help from the person that sold it to me and it's nonreturnable.

What do you suggest I do? Send it in to Motorola or Flash a Monsterpack to the phone? Also, T-Mobile's offered to replace it with a refurbished one, Don't know about that. I'm leaning more towards flashing it. I was thinking that maybe the software update might get it back up and running.

Suggestions?

You could always try the flash and if it doesn't work go for t-mo exchange?

Sounds like a plan. Getting my USB cable in the mail today and I hope to have this thing running tonight.

I'll be back with more results. Thanks again so much. Greatly appreciated.

Back again. Ok, so I finally found the time to try to get my V3 back up again. I went to install Motorola Phone tools on my brother's Laptop (which is running Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition. Service Pack 2.) and Phone tools came to the step where you have to connect your phone to USB and then to the computer and it is supposed to recognize it by itself. Not this time. It's not recognizing my phone so therefore, not installing the drivers that I need. Is there a certain way I'm supposed to connect the phone when it comes to this step?

The phone does recognize the USB cord and the screen says something along the lines of "USB Transfer Mode" so I guess it knows it's connected to a USB cord. But I can't get the computer to recognize it. My brother told me that his laptop might be shitty because he has problems with his USB ports when it comes to his iPod.

I also used Motorola Driver Installer and that didn't work either. I think I'm going to try the whole thing on a different computer.

I already have RSD lite and a monsterpack but I just can't get the computer to recognize the phone. I've become frustrated after spending nearly 2 hours on this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ok, stupid question but can I set it to that? Only thing I noticed is when it's connected that it says "USB Transfer Mode".

Thanks for bearing with me.

Sorry - think I got mixed up with you and someone else.

The phone is still in bootloader?

It sounds like you need the flash interface device driver installed in order for RSD Lite to recognise the phone.

Run the motodev driver install program on clean and reinstall, then connect the phone while its in bootloader and the new hardware wizard should run and find the drivers.

Refer to http://www.maxedmobiles.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id= 14&Itemid=32 but you will need to skip several sections since you only have bootloader mode

Back again.

After attempting to get my computer to recognize the phone, my phone read: "Low Battery. Cannot Program". So I connected it to the charger for a few hours and the boat loader still read the same. I connected the charger while in the bootloader and that still didn't work.

How am I going to get this phone charged? Is the phone not recognizing the charger?

I keep running into problems. Thanks again for being patient with me. I appreciate it.
