hey. my lg vx3300 got submerged in water and so i dried it out as best i could. but it started to spaz when i turned it back on. it now says "-Car Kit-" above the menu/contact keys. it won't let me hear any noise coming from it. and when i press the button on the left hand side that changes the volume. it says on top "Ringer- Carkit". how do i take it out of Car Kit mode. and also. will it let me hear stuff if i do?

It might be fried. This may sound stupid but take the battery out and put it in between two slices of bread and put it in a bag over night. The bread absorbs any water that may still be there hope it helps it did for my old phone until a year I got my new phone just a week ago, but just give it a try. I don't think carkit has anything to do with why you can't hear it's just the water that got in it is messing with it

My phone got slightly damp and started doing the "car kit" thing. As I understand it, the car kit plugs into the same port on the bottom of the phone that the charger plugs into. My guess is that all it takes is a halfway decent electrical connection between two of the "pins" on that connection to fool the phone into thinking it's hooked up to the car kit. I let my phone dry out and then plugged the charging cord into the port and wiggled it. It seems to have made the "car kit" message go away. We'll see if it lasts.
