RAZR won't load keypad lights, stays on and drains battery

Went to flash my v3 i think it was r415 will check when get home, battery went flat 1/2 way through, now if i connect to pc, it says its in flash mode, and when i go to flash phone it gets 1/2 way through and says rebooting phone, then tells me to manually boot phone, and when i do it says it cannot find phone and exits. Any one have any ideas how to recover this phone.

The aove is a little wrong:
I went to flash my phone and 1/2 way through the phone went flat, so i tried to chare it but i cant charge the battery. I used a friends V3 to charge the battery and then plug into pc. The phone is detected as FLASH when using P2K tools. I then load up motorola RSD lite and load the SHX file called R374_G_OE.42.0CR as this is firmware on the phone. Unsure of the boot loader. When i use the programm RSD it detects the pone and goes through the steps of deleting the phone then says restarting phone, and after a while says please restart phone manually, when i do this is where i have to pull the battery out to restart and then the pc no longer recognises the phone,,,,,, PLEASE ADVISE what i should do. Thanks in advance.

What was the original s/w version? If its R4515 then its a V3r and needs V3r software
