Nokia 6101 and Nextel SIM, can't find network

I tried to put a Nextel SIM card into a Nokia 6101 (unlocked by T-Mobile). The phone accepted the SIM without any error message. But it couldn't find network. I went to Settings->Operator Selection, only T-Mobile and Cingular were listed there.

Does Nextel operate at some special frequency so that Nokia 6101 can't be used?

No, you cannot use Nextel service in that Nokia, because it is not GSM service.
