Hi there, hopefully someone out there has a solution for me. My friend has an i870 phone and Nextel is the provider.

He left Nextel for T-mobile and now has the Razor v3 phone. For the life of me we can't figure out how to export the contacts to the PC. The sim card does not work with the new phone. I purchased a USB based sim card reader and that did not work at all. I was going to buy a Micro SD card, but on the SD card only Pictures and Audio can go there according to what I read.

Has anyone successfully transfered the contacts/phone book from the i870 to the PC? If so what did you use to do this? I wish the phone providers could make this a lot easier for us icon_squint.gif

I appreciate all responses and I am ready to buy the correct solution. I imagine that once I can get the contacts on to the PC, I should be able to convert into a format where we can upload to the new Razor.

Thank You,

Victor

The nextel Sim is iden rather than GSM so will not work in the phone.

I suspect the USB sim reader is also GSM

Your only possibilty is PC based software for syncronising with the phone. The V3 is easy - MPT or mobiledit are two possibilities. Not sure about the iden phone though

Hey thanks for the reply, I hope I can get a few more.

I figured that about the USB reader. I too also feel the only solution is a software and USB cable syncronize solution.

If anyone reading this post knows of a software with cable that will work with the i870 to get the contacts/phone book onto a PC, that would be most excellent. I have abandoned any hopes for a SIM Card reader at this point.

I will wait for any more replies. Meanwhile, I will keep searching on Google for something.

Thanks again,

Victor
