I have recently purchased a E700 and a IrDa cable. I can upload my phone details into EasyStudio but I have a problem when I try and send a tone to my phone.
My Irda is configured to a speed 57600.
When I click on Melody to Phone I get an error "You cannot download Melody file. Please Restart Dialog!"
I click on OK to this and I get the Melody to Phone screen.
I can select a melody, however the To phone has the text [ADD] in it. If I clcik on the drop down selector it is blank.
When I then click on download I get the error "Index Error!"
I have tried configuring my IrDa in various different ways but seem to have no joy.
I have tried on 2 different pc's, 1 XP home, 1 Win 2000.
Help Please !!!!

Try it with your irda at maximum speed.

I have set my IrDA at maximum 4000000 and changed the EasyStudio to the maximum of 230400 and I still have the same problem.
The 'To Phone' still says [ADD]

Another language? Try dutch that must work im using that one.

I changed the language in the setup to Dutch and it still does not work.

Are you sure your using EasyStudio PIMS & File Manager

I think so. It is called EasyStudio and the .exe is run from "C:\Program Files\Samsung\EasyStudio\EasyStudio.exe".
I will uninstall, download from http://www.samsung.com/Support/ProductSupport/download/FileView.aspx?c ttfileid=58389&type=Mobile%20Phone&typecode=103010&subtype=&subtypecod e=370023&cmssubtypecode=&model=SGH-E700&filetype=SW_cm&language=
and try again. I will let you know if this makes any difference.

Thanks for all your help, it now works.
The file I had downloaded and installed was s500EasyStudio.zip which is not the same program.

i have the problem too... but i can download image from my phone... but when i try to upload image or tones.. it says not supported file type...
