Hi Guys,
I'm have a question to ask?
1. Will the mobile service provider detect your IMEI number or detect what kind of cell phone when you make a phone call out with their sim card?
Thanks

Yes they will, basically a cell phone call uses the phones sim card to transpose information to the carriers, thus determining where the call originates from (this is uselful for billing purposes between cellular towers). To detect fraud, and for other issues the cellular provider detects the Sim card and IMEI number. If you have ever used ATT/Cingular service you will realize that they will detect your phone type, this helps the carrier understand which types of phones their users are using, and also to charge you for a PDA dataplan if you are only currently paying for a regular cell phone plan. Stolen IMEI's can also be blocked from providers and used for tracking purposes.
