I've had this phone for almost a week now.I cannot connect it to the computer.I keep getting an error that says 'USB device not recognized'. I got it to recognize the phone a few times after installing the USB modem driver. I've installed the verizon phone drivers several times but it still says USB device not recognized.
Any ideas?

so i was having a hell of a time with this.
i got a cable from ebay, and some little disk - was getting the same messages as you with bitpim. basically it wasnt reading that my phone was hooked up.
i downloaded the vcast software which has the drivers for the 8550 in it, after that bitpim recognized my phone just fine.
i cant post the link because these forums are lame, but you can just google vcast music software and find it really easily.
