Understand. Being hard-nosed doesn'tnecessarily mean being heartless. Especially where kids are concerned.
Good luck,

I believe that parents can look at them. How, or where, or when, i am not sure, i am still trying to figure it out. My dad asked me when my girlfriend was getting back from south carolina. And i make sure my parents cant peek at my phone, so i am pretty dang sure he didnt look at my phone for recent texts. And i over heard my dad say something about the messages i send gettin forwarded to him somehow.
This pisses me off and keeps me from being myself on texting. It is overprotective, overobsessive, or there are some major trust issues if this is happening.
I need a cold hard answer so i can be sure he looked at my phone (which is what i'm hoping he did). And if it is possible, how old do i have to be to get my own contract with the provider?

your parents cannot read the messages on line.. he can set up a forward tho....by your reasoning I can see why he wants to monitor your texts... service providers (all of them) have several parental controls in place that allow / not allow actions... I guess you are going to have to deal with it until you get your own account... you need to be 18 for that unless you go prepaid
