my niece broke my razr now i need i new phone.my brother has a motorola i580 i believe its nextel,forgive me but im not phone savvy.it says i need subsidy code,my question is can i use my cingular sim card on the i580 phone.both are motorola but the carrier is diffrent i belie.and if i can use this new phone that is the i580 how do i get the subsidy code or where do i buy it

You would get the subsidy unlock code from the phone's original service provider. I don't think that Nextel phones are GSM, so I don't think it's going to work on AT&T even with a subsidy unlock code. Someone else here would be able to help you better with that, as I know nothing about non-GSM phones.

The Nextel i580 is not compatible with Cingular's system, only another Nextel sim card can be used in it.

That and a subsidy lock will require a phone call to Nextel. Good luck with that.
