I bought a razr off of eBay and it is in Spanish language mode and when I insert the SIM it still says " Inserisci SIM " The seller said she bought it as NEW, when she tried it she had this problem. The phone powers up normally and appears to be new.

Sounds like a problem with the sim carrier
Sounds odd - if she bought it new why didn't she return it?
Anyway you can try placing a fold of paper behind the sim to increase pressure on the contacts, otherwise you may need new sim carrier

The SIM works in my other phone. Don't know why she didn't try for a refund because the phone looks new. Kinda odd about the Spanish language change because you can not get into menu without an active SIM in place. Anyway, I'll try the paper trick.thanks
Any other suggestions would be welcome.
