I just got a motorola T721. I bought a 3g sim card. After I registered the sim and placed it in the phone, I could not get service. What I have been told is that the T721 is too old for the 3g sim. What kind of sim card do I need? Can anyone help? I've been without a phone for a month. Thanks

I can't believe it. I looked on ebay, amazon, etc. NOTHING in 32k. That's crazy. Thank both of you for the info. Is there an affordable cingular/AT&t phone out there that you would recommend that uses a 3G SIM for around 30-50 dollars off Ebay W/O contract?
Cingular is even telling me they can't get a 32K card for two weeks?!

No, I don't need prepaid. I have service through Cingular/AT&T. I'm just without a matching phone and SIM. Looking for either the right Sim for my phone or right phone for my SIM for around 50 bucks.

unde $50 w/o a contract not a chance try looking on ebay you can find a good used one, but dont fall for the "its unlocked" trap just get one that is att/cing branded, make sure you see one or the other logos on the picture,
you can buy a prepaid devcie , (not as nice) and use your sim card in it , >>>>>>>IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER WITH BUYING PREPAD PHONE FOR POST PAID SERVICE<<<<<<<<<<<<<< activat the phoen as a prepaid phone , if you do not your libne will be suspended unde suspiton of fraud/use of stollen equipment .

I'm a little confused: are you saying that a contracted user will be suspended if a pre-paid phone is used with their service? Would you explain that a little further (especially by what you mean in activating the phone, as opposed to the pre-pay service)?
I ask, in part, because I did just that when my phone was stolen. I went in, bought a pre-paid phone & a new SIM card, activated the new card with my (contracted service) and slipped it into the pre-paid phone. I was quite open about what I was doing and never had any trouble with AT&T then or after.
I also ask because I've advised people to do the same thing if/when their phones are stolen (or anytime they're looking for a quick & cheap replacement) - I'd hate to think that I'm steering them down a bad path.
Respectfully,
Jacob M.

if the prepaid phone is registred on the network and att does a "sweep" you can be suspended und "fraud" ( suspition of using a stollen phone) all you have to do is activate the prepaid phone with the prepaid sim card , once thats all said and done you can then go back to your post paid sim
