Dear all,
after a long search in this forum I think I'm unique with the problem shown in the topic.

Hystory :
1) I'm writing a midlet so I have to download this on the phone.
2) I've to activate Java application download
3) I do this with Fitter P2kTools Mod
4) Java application download activated
5) Midlet downloading and execute ok
6) All text msg menu item (magically) disappeared
7) Restored Outbox, Draft, Recved E-mail but NOT Incoming even if in the modding program there is this option, It is never able to fix it.

Does anybody have had same problem or can suggest any solution ?

Thanks in advance.

You have pressed set before get in p2k tools - a common mistake.

You have 3 choices:

1. Try to put the settings back how they were
2. Restore a SEEM 0032_0001 backup (preferably yours as someone elses may be very different)
3. Flash with a flex / monsterpack

I did not operate directly to the seem but choosing some function on a check box. I've no seem backup icon_angel.gif or, is another way to restor any seem in the previous way ? (this could be a very stupid question icon_redface.gif )

You will have to try someone elses SEEM 0032_0001 - but its likely to change the phone quite a lot. There is a SEEM backup at http://www.maxedmobiles.com/index.php?option=com_docman&task=doc_detai ls&gid=1156&Itemid=31

The check boxes affect this SEEM - thats what they do - thats why re-enabling the features you have lost would also work

Its not that big a deal - you will just lose personal settings / data

Brief report :
- Restored the incoming text msg item in the main message menu icon_smile.gif
BUT
- unable to access to message menu from the specific key in the keyboard
- unable to change ring tones : the files exist but when I select them the phone reproduce always the same sound of a default ring tone
- unable to view main menu as icons but always as list (even if icons choise is checked)
- unable to access to the phone with PS2Tools VS 3.0.8 build 864
- unable to think positive ! icon_huh.gif

I'm going to restore all this features changing relatives seem. I found a seem map but is so difficult to filter the seems I need. In your opinion, is better to flash all ?

All the problems can be solved but it does involve some work - flashing a monsterpack will fix it in one hit - your call really

I think i might have committed the same mistake. I was trying to install games and apps to my V3 using P2ktools and midway. I was able to load games and apps to the phone but i was surprise when later on i lost the text messaging feature on the phone. I can't text at all.it's as if i the phone doesnt have a texting.

Can anybody shed some light into my problem?

Thanks
