I recently got a new phone and I took the SIM Card out of the RAZR and put it in my new phone to use. Now I have an old RAZR with no sim card. I thought I would let my daughter use it to play the games on it and use the camera for fun. I was wondering if there is anyway to use it with out the sim card or bypass the insert sim message?

my advice
use p2k advanced editor
choose "seem 4a options" under the drop down menus
search for the word "sim"
change the "require sim: part from 01 to 00, save to phone, reboot phone, and wa la, no sim needed
note, the multimedia funcions may not work,, they didnt when i done this to my phone
however, any sim card will allow the phone to be started, wether the phone is registered or not

Hello, I think I am having the same problem. I got a Motorola Razr off my friend for free because he didn't need it anymore but it doesn't have a Sim card, and it is currently locked to Rogers Wireless. At the moment I don't want to activate it, but I want to get passed the "insert Sim" screen right after you boot up the phone. I have P2K Advance Editor but I have no clue how to modify the seem so I can use the features of the phone without inserting a sim card. Also, once I do this, will any sim card from any service provider work? (ie. will it be unlocked)
