and since you're a Music Addict, the 5300 is designed for music. The blast wont even allow you to select songs by artinst or song or album or genre, you just load the music player and click through. it's like an ipod shuffle.

I would't say he same for the 5300 because I have the Samsung Blast and my Sister has the XpressMusic and she has no features and it is impossible in my opinion to manuever around the menu and it takes a long time to get used to. The 5300's only good feature is that it has a MP3 player but so does the Samsung Blast. And if you get the Samsung Blast from somewhere else than he T-Mobile Store Then it does come with a 1 gig Micro SD card and Converter for normal SD and the XPressMusic only comes with the 1 gig Micro SD. Even Though it says that the camera is the same the resolution on the XpressMusic is fuzzy. It is like an inch and a half thicker than the Blast and it has a messed up interior. I have opened one up before and it seems really fragile. And the Samsung Blast can connect to a computer if you have bluetooth on your computer so you dont even have to use a cable. for some reason my sisters Xpressmusic can't connect to me or my dads phone. The buttons on the Samsung Blast feel a lot better and the samsung Blast fits way better in the hand. the good thing about the 5300 is that it comes with double headphones and he Blast only come with a one eared piece of crud. but if you don't count the headphones(which you can buy for a couple of bucks) the Blast is a way better phone. And even worse is that the 5300 comes with the crappiest games ever. The buttons on the Samsung might not look very convincing but it is a lot better that the 3 letters to a button on the 5300. It's your choice but I suggest buying the Blast.

I just made the same decision. I looked hard at the Blast and the Nokia. Since my last experience with Samsung was so good (my X495 worked for 2 years and keeps on ticking!) I decided to look at the "Beat."
That is the one I chose. Too early to tell if it was the right choice. I DOES come with the computer cable AND the 1Gb card.
Funny thing is? At the T-mobile store near my house, they told me the Beat did NOT come with the cable. The kiosk at the mall? Said it did NOT come with the card.
I ordered it over the phone and wound up actually MAKING money on the transaction and got ALL the parts. You might want to try that!
