First of all, reading this made my eyes bleed. They're bleeding because my brain is trying to kill itself.
Second, they are not going to be changing the iPhone int'l data plans back to a 1yr contract for the forseeable future, because Apple didn't like the fact that there was a contract on it. Other int'l data plans have contracts, because those phones can be unlocked. The iPhone can't, Apple was likely losing some sales due to it not being able to be used internationally with any type of cost efficiency, and Apple told us to scrap the contract. They're not going to remove the contracts from the plan and release everyone from under the contract, only to change it back soon.
