I recently switched providers to T-Mobile through WireFly and got a Samsung Stripe T329 with $75 in mail-in rebates.
The rebate forms say that you are not allowed to use a SIM card with the phone the rebates apply to aside from the one that came with it.
BUT are you allowed to use that SIM card in other phones?
I was just wondering if anyone else has done this and can shed some light on the topic, I know how hard companies try to disqualify people from giving them rebates so if its possible for me to use my old phone and still get the rebates that'd be awesome.
Thanks to any who replies.

I'm a little confused, so I want to make sure I am understanding correctly. The rebate says that you can only use the discounted phone with the sim that it was discounted for? And the rebated phone can not be used with any other sim? Is this rebate form online? I'd like to see it.

Yeah I did word that a little confusingly, let me start again from the beginning.
Originally I was with Cingular and had a Motorola RAZR.
My contract recently expired so I transferred my number to T-Mobile.
I got a Samsung Stripe as well as $75 worth of mail-in rebates when I signed with T-Mobile (but I cannot make use of these mail-in rebates until I receive my 4th bill).
The terms of the rebates state that I cannot use a different SIM card in the Samsung Stripe, than the one it came with.
Now I am wondering if I can use my new T-Mobile SIM card (that came with the Stripe) in my Motorola RAZR and not be disqualified from the rebates?

You can't use the sim in your razr because it isn't unlocked. Right now, your razr will only accept at&t sim cards.

I'd say you can use it then as long as you activate your service on the rebated phone. Can you post a link to an online version of the rebate form? I can take a look at it then.

I tried to post a link to a scan of the form but I am unable to due to the noob status of my account here.
I actually called T-Mobile yesterday, and I should have realized this sooner. But the rebates actually go through Wirefly dot com whom I ordered service from. I am intending to call them about the whole using the old phone thing possibly later today, at which point I will post my findings.
