I'm looking for a hand here. I've moved to the UK for the next three years for school. I've been with ATT Wireless since before they were Cingular. (Yes, I was a blue customer.) Now, what I've read through this forum is that if I've moved to an area where there is no ATT coverage, then my contract will be terminated without the ETF of $175.00. My current contract is not supposed to end till June 2008. The problem that I've run into in calling customer support is that they stated the non-coverage claim only works if I stay in the US. Since I've moved to another country, it's inferred that I won't have coverage, therefore the contract is still valid. Can someone enlighten me on how that works?
Many Thanks,
~Marc

I don't know the answer for your question, but there is something called International Roaming that may put you in trouble.

not the contract is still valid, it does state in your t&c that if you move to a non coverage area you will still be accountable for ETF's , it was not att's fault you moved you did so on your own accord and you are accountable for the contract you agreeded upon sorry

Either that, or if you know someone who is starting up new service soon, Transfer of Service ($1 and a number change ($36, if you can't talk your way out of it) is a lot less than a $175 Early Termination fee. Might want to ask around to friends/family.
