What program do I need? I tried downloading some software, but it didn't work. I bought a USB cable but am unable to do anything with it.

I just want to connect the phone to the computer to upload music, sync data, or transfer stuff to the computer.

Just put it in memory card mode and transfer to memory card

Isn't there a way I can do that with my USB? I bought a USB cable for the phone and I don't have a memory card yet. Thanks for the help

Oh ok - normally you get a card with the phone.
But yes - use MPT (www.bvrp.com) or Mobiledit (www.mobiledit.com) or use a p2k program for free (a little more work - check the getting connected guide in tutorial section)

i just plug it in with my USB cord. if you have a memory card, then it should charge right there.
i didn't have to download any program to charge my phone on the computer.
