I am seeking assistance on how to unlock an AT&T co-branded Motorola Q9h (Global) Smart Phone with Windows Mobile 6.1. I bought it for use when I was back home since I work in China, however, AT&T said even though I bought the handset direct from their store, they could not unlock it for me. I've gone to an engineering friend working in Motorola's mobile division office in Beijing, China and they said they are unable to unlock the handset because the operator AT&T has put a PKI security lock on the handset. I need a real professional who can obtain unlock codes for me. So, here Ihave a nice phone but can not use it. I also have to be careful not to give it to some hacker locally because according to my Moto engineer friend a hacker could distroy the phone. Please post your replies on this message board. Again, in July, 2008 I purchased the Motorola Q9 h (Global) WIndows Mobile Smart Phone in Redmond, WA.
One more thing, in July I went online and tried using one unlock service company, paid US$15 and they just took the money and ran, so I am very sceptical about using online services but realize this may be my only option.
Regards,
KJW

I work at a COR store for AT&T and it took about 2 weeks after the testing and final interviews for my manager to contact me about my start date, and the user who posted about the training times is correct. It takes some time to get into the training sessions because they are three weeks long, and need to be taken in succession. The job is so so so so worth the training, and the training is never done; thus my reason for joining this site haha.
If you've not heard back from them in a few weeks, and have called your contact (usually a manager) and still nothing.then it might not be in the cards. AT&T is hiring like mad even in a crap economy, so keep your hopes up!
