I recently got a Samsung S500 and Samsung data cable. When I start EasyGPRS I hear the connection tone from the phone, but there is no communication between phone and PC: EasyGPRS doesn't load the data from phone, and 'Offline' is displayed in the status bar.
I've got Easy Studio from samsungmobile.com, I tried all speed settings, but it doesn't work. Does anyone know why?
Any help will be greatly appreciated

Wich type of Data cable did you used?

I use the PCB093LBE cable. Is it the correct one?

Thats the V200 cable it doesn't work with the S500 and E700

thanks Don for the information!
in any event, i own a v200 and s500 too.
when i bought the s500, there was data cable bundled together with the package, so i did some experiments with the PCB093LBE cable (which came with the v200) just now.
naturally, it did not work.

hi!
how much will the data cable for S500 cost? sigh.. I have an Infrared cable.. but for some very strange reason the software refuses to acknowledge the presence of my phone! 
** this is dumb. I forgot to remove the sticker covering the infrared port.. which is why the cable doesn't work. grrrr... irritating!
