Selling it as part on ebay that is what i'm going to do with my V3i too, it's a hardware on mine , i think the IC of antena is burn out or some thing i got full bars but can not call or receive, always call failed!

Well, I guess its ebay time.Don't think its worth any more of your (or my) time to try to resolve this. I ended up replacing it with the w490 and I've been loving this phone. It has 3x the reception of my V3 plus nice features including many that will hopefully be unlocked by a future flash pack. (disappointed T-mobile has hidden a good amount of features, but for the price, can't complain too much).
Thanks again Old Fool. Take a look for my v3 auction - who knows - I may have the parts you need. heh.
