Ok, so I've had my v3 for a good few years now. I put on a monster pack about a year and a half ago - never had any problems - worked great.
The other day I was driving home and hit a drop zone, when IO regained signal, i figured I'd power cycle my phone as I hadn;t done so in a while. When my phone came back on - everything was screwy. almost no keys worked. was missing my main menu/soft keys were dead, etc.
Long story short - I reloaded the monster pack and it fixed everything.EXCEPT - now I have no network signal at all! My antenna is still connected, my settings are fine - but my phone can't find ANY newtwork.
I've tried loading different monster packs - still nothing.
Any thoughts to save it from its pending doom of a paperweight?
Currently has Boot Loader 08.23
and most recent s/w from monster pack I tried (and is still on there) is
R374_G_0E.40.9CR
Flex version GSMV3xxT674TA09E
Thanks!

you need to flash the newest version that one is too old
Also check in network setting change bandwith to
900-1800 MHZ if you are in ASIA or EUROPE
850-1900 if you are in the US

What version would you recommend? I had MP R374_G_0E.42.10R_PDS005_LP0039_DRM0001_JPJAVA_G_0E_V3_01_10R_GSMV3xxT6 77GA164_1FF.shx on it for the time I was using it. Just tried moving backwards to see if that could fix it. Thoughts?

Just flashed to R374_G_OE.42.15R
Still nothing.
Also, Old Fool - I tried changing setting to 850/1900 instead of auto - no luck.
Any other thoughts?

Sorry for all the replies here - but this was my orig post on howard forums almost 2 months ago Old Fool. Not sure if any of this info would help. Also, I copied someone's response about the motherboard below this.
"ok.so driving home from work today I'm on the phone.hang up - go though drop zone.recall.call drops at 2nd drop zone (new route to work is not t-mobile friendly) - so I decide to reboot my phone (since its been a while) to get back on the top of the tower.
I turn my phone off - turn it back on.and:
V3 boots up with a white screen.time/date.a left soft key that says 'styles' and 'no network found'.my power button/end button does not work at all and neither do certain other keys (camera, voice memo, etc). no right soft key at all. No functions work. Take off battery and sim - put back together.same thing.leave sim out and put back together - same thing. I tried just about everything I could think of while driving home - nothing! Same crap. Went to Master Reset, but p/w was not all zeros as it always is.(which i never changed) - nothing.
So got home and put sim into an older phone - worked no problem. Put an inactive sim into V3. Same crap. So I went though my computer files and found the monster pack I loaded more than a year ago. Flashed and fixed everything EXCEPT NETWORK. My phone still can not find any bit of signal. No network available what-so-ever. Tried searching, etc. Nothing (and yes I def have 5 bars in my house all the time).
I'm out of ideas.anyone got any for me (beside get a new phone).
Thanks."
Motherboard reply
"I have 2 V3's with same problem - its the motherboard - stuffed. You can try Motorola for repair, but from my experience, its unrepairable."

remove battery then put it back on. Press and hold these 3 keys *,# and power for 15 sec you should be in boot loader mode and PC should see your fone, if not you then need to test point!
